Celebrity Names You’ve Been Saying Wrong This Whole Time.
There was a time when the Screen Actors Guild would encourage
celebrities with peculiar names to make them more mainstream. For
example, if you had a super Italian name, perhaps it would be in your
best interest to change your name to something more "all-American,"
sounding. Like, you know, John Smith.
Now, Hollywood is a little different. Being diverse and unusual is seen as an asset as opposed to a hindrance, and so if your name is slightly different from the norm, all the better for your career. But having an unusual name is also a bit difficult when your name is splashed all over paper, magazines, and the internet: Some people just can't figure out how to pronounce it.
Below are 15 celebrities with strange and unusual names (and some that are fairly simple, but you're just mispronouncing them). Odds are, you've been saying at least half of these the wrong way. Don't worry: We've got the truth all sorted out for you.

15 Before/After Photos That Show The REAL Power Of Makeup.
Makeup is a woman's best friend. It helps you look alive on days that
you look dead. It helps make you look beautiful on a day you don't feel
so beautiful.
A lot of women are ridiculed for the amount of makeup they use. But makeup in a way can be very therapeutic. It helps make a woman not only look great but feel great. It helps build self esteem.
Makeup doesn't create beauty, it only enhances one's beauty. The best part: you can dress it up or dress it down. You can put on subtle makeup on average days and dramatic makeup on days that require you to look extravagant. There's so many different looks you can create and so many different ways to showcase your beauty.
Sometimes a girl just loves to get dolled up.

You can put on subtle makeup on average days and dramatic makeup on days that require you to look extravagant. There's so many different looks you can create and so many different ways to showcase your beauty.
Sometimes a girl just loves to get dolled up.
#1. Put emphasis on your beautiful features.
Here she enhanced her features by enlarging her brows and
adding some falsies to create a dramatic eye look. She's added a light
contour with some blush and topped it off with a pretty mauve colored
lipstick.
#2. Contouring will help you create features that may or may not have originally been there.
Sometimes all you need is some basic contour to help give you
the cheekbones you've always wanted. Contouring can also help give you a
more defined jawline and overall more sculpted face.
#3. Eyebrows are the one thing you can get into shape without exercising.
Ladies can spend hours on their eyebrows to create the perfect
shape. They frame the face and put the whole look together. You can draw
them in with a pencil or you can fill them in with a powder or gel,
it's really preference. But I think we're all dying to know what this
girl used on her fierce brows.
#4. The pinup look isn't for everyone but absolutely stunning when executed well.
The typical pinup look usually consists of soft glam curls
(think old Hollywood) and a bold red lip. Pair this with some light
eyeshadow and cat-eye eyeliner and you'll look ready to walk down a red
carpet in a Marilyn Monroe dress.
#5. Here's a step by step tutorial of how to contour.
Everyone has their own version of how to contour but this is a
general guide to how most people do it. As you can see between steps 1
and 2, concealer and/or foundation was applied. After that all you need
to do is highlight underneath the eyes, the middle of the forehead, down
the nose, just above the lip and below it. Then add bronzer to the top
of the forehead, on the edge of your cheekbones, and on the chin. Blend
and voila!
#6. All lipstick colors are created equal.
When it comes to lipstick, the more feminine light colors are
favored but to create a super striking look you need a dark lipstick.
It's unconventional and it works. Many people believe that dark lipstick
make your lips look smaller, those people are wrong.
#7. A bold lipstick will take you to the next level.
Lip color really is the finishing touch to any look and
determines what vibes you give off. A simple and light shade will make
you look subtle and cute but a bold shade will make you stand out and
look gorgeous.
#8. Brighten those eyes.
Not all ladies are fortunate enough to wake up with a face that
doesn't look tired. Cover those eye bags with concealer and brighten
your eyes with eyeliner and mascara.
#9. Slight changes can make a big difference.
Completing your look doesn't just mean your face makeup but
also your hair! Here, the added bangs made a big difference and
complimented her makeup greatly.
#10. Makeup can transform you into anyone.
Does she kind of look like a long lost Kardashian sister to
you? When you know what you're doing, you can use makeup to make
yourself look like anyone -- that includes all the beautiful female
celebrities on tv today.
#11. Coverage, not cake.
You may or may not have perfect skin, but that doesn't mean
everyone else knows that. Acne and acne scars can damage a person's self
esteem but don't worry. You can hide them with the right amount of
foundation and concealer.
#12. Don't underestimate eyeshadow.
Eyeshadow not only adds color to your eyelids but can help
bring out your eye color! And don't think these shadows are strictly for
your eyes. If you don't have a fancy contour kit or any bronzers in
your makeup bag, you can use brown eyeshadow to help draw in the defined
cheekbones you were meant to have.
#13. Wedding day makeup is the most important makeup.
For a girl, her wedding day is one of the most important days
in her life that she has to look GOOD. This means a whole face of glam.
Take this beautiful bride for example, she looks ready to walk down the
aisle and pose for a million photos.
#14. Bridesmaid makeup is just as important as well.
Of course if you're the bride, you're the queen bee of the
event. However, you can't roll up with a squad of your best gal friends
without them looking fierce as well.
#15. All blemishes begone.
Whether you have very few or many blemishes, covering them up
will always create a brighter face. A clear looking face allows others
to focus on the better facial features you have.

Well, This Is Kind Of Scary...Could This Mean The End Of Life On Earth?
One of the old favorite doomsday scenarios is that Earth's magnetic
poles will realign themselves, causing worldwide destruction and the end
of humanity as we know it. While researchers say the death and
destruction part of that theory is unlikely, what they are in agreement
about is that Earth's magnetic poles are realigning...or at least that's what they're hoping.
(via Mysterious Universe)
So I guess we have a 50/50 shot at the end of the world happening in the next few years. Then again, I suppose the odds are like that on most days anyway.
A recent study from the European Space Agency found that Earth's magnetic fields are actually weakening at what some might consider an alarming rate.
New measurements put the rate of magnetic field decay at around five percent per year, which is about 10 times faster than previous estimates. The decay is also not uniform. Some spots are decaying faster, while in other areas, the magnetic field is strengthening.
Researchers familiar with Earth's magnetic field aren't worried, though. They say these recent measurements are proof that Earth's poles are preparing to flip. The last time Earth's poles switched was during the Stone Age, so it's unclear what kind of impact a flip would have on life in our modern era.
However, the consensus among researchers is that the switching of the poles won't cause much damage. The worst that will happen, they say, is that we'll have to relabel compasses.
So I guess we have a 50/50 shot at the end of the world happening in the next few years. Then again, I suppose the odds are like that on most days anyway.
They Were Taking Photos When They Spotted Something Bizarre In The Background
It must be some obscure law of the universe that ghosts appear in photographs when you least expect them to.
They just seem to love photobombing us humans and scaring us half to death. Sometimes they're pretty obvious about it, and others, they make us work to see them. Take, for example, the case of Redditor SlicedUpBeef and the photos she took at Dundas Peak in Hamilton, Ontario. The story starts with SlicedUpBeef's friend's cousin. Apparently, he'd hiked to the peak a few days before and posted the following picture of himself on Instagram.
When the Redditor got there, she and her friends each took turns recreating her cousin's photograph.
However, even though the location was the same, there was something that they didn't manage to recreate.
Here's the original Instagram photo again. Notice anything weird in the background that's not in the background of the other two images?
See it now?
It appears to be some sort of unnaturally tall, ghostly figure. According to SlicedUpBeef, they thought it could have been a hiker, except that the area is not part of the trail and it's so steep that'd be almost impossible to traverse.
For the sake of comparison, here is the same area during a different time of year. People aren't kidding when they say it's steep.
I could understand if this went down in a haunted house, but seeing a ghost out in nature like that is
